Since it was created in the 1960s, the two acre Friendship Garden has been a living expression of the principles of Rotary, with lovely plantings, shade trees and paths - a place of serenity, devoted to peace and understanding among nations. It is open to the public and maintained through a partnership between the Rotary Club of Evanston and the City of Evanston.

The Rotary Club of Evanston is rededicating the garden this year, including the addition of a "Friendship Circle" - a site for meetings, performances and other special functions. This beautiful addition to the garden will be constructed with stone and brick.

The construction of the Friendship Circle offers you the opportunity to permanently commemorate a special person or organization. You can do this by purchasing one of the commemorative bricks that will form the circle’s base. Each commemorative brick will be engraved with an individual name, message, country or Rotary club.

Three sizes will be available,
- $100 (4" x 8"),
- $250 (8" x 8") or
- $500 (12" x 12") USD.
