- The World Headquarters is located at 1560 Sherman Avenue in Evanston, just north of Chicago.
- Office hours are from 8:30am to 5pm weekdays. 
- There are a few parking spaces available in the attached parking garage (just west of the corner, on Grove Street. 
- There is also a major city parking garage two blocks north at Sherman and Church. Parking at RI costs $2.20 for the first hour, 90c for each additional half hour to a maximum of $6.70. 
- The city garage is free for the first hour; 60c for the second hour with a maximum of $5.10 after 12 hours. 
- Some public parking is also available at the lower level of the parking garage at the Holiday Inn, just south of RI on Sherman, and on the street.

FROM O'HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
By cab - Taxis can be found outside of the baggage area on the lower level.  The trip to Evanston costs approximately $25plus tip and takes almost an hour -- longer during rush hours.  As many Chicago cab drivers are not familiar with Evanston, it is best to use a suburban service. Suburban cabs cannot pickup at the airport unless phoned.  Place your call after you have picked up your luggage.  You will be given a time estimate and cab number to look for; generally it should be no longer than a 15 minutes wait.

By car
-  Cars can be rented at O'Hare.  When exiting the rental car parking lot, proceed to: Bessie Coleman Drive north (away from O'Hare) and follow signs to Mannheim Road; turn left (north) on Mannheim Road and take it to Oakton Street, turn right on Oakton and continue east to where it ends in Evanston (about 10 miles);  turn left (north) on Callan and then go under the "L"  tracks (on South Boulevard);  turn left (north) on to Chicago Avenue to Grove Street (just over a mile); and turn left (west) on Grove and go just over one block to the parking garage at RI.
     To get to the public parking garage continue on Chicago Avenue one block beyond Grove; turn left on to Davis Street; take Davis to the second traffic light (Benson Avenue) - just before the train overpass; turn right (north) on Benson and go a half block to the entrance of the parking garage;

By CTA train
- A CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) train ("L") leaves from the lower level of the airport every 10 minutes around the clock.  Take the “blue line” to Washington Street in Chicago and walk through the tunnel to the State Street subway (red line).  There, board a train bound for Howard Street, where you transfer (other side of the same platform) to the "L" (purple line) bound for Linden Avenue in Wilmette.  Get off the train at Davis Street (4th stop from Howard) and go through the Benson Avenue door, turn right and walk a half block to Davis Street.  Turn left and walk one block to Sherman Avenue.  Turn right.  Rotary is the big white building at the next corner.  The one-way fare is$1.50 and takes about 90 minutes from O'Hare. Going south on the CTA train involves either a 30¢ surcharge to retrace the route or 50¢ to take the Evanston Express that makes every stop in Evanston, then four stops to the Loop (not the subway, but the actual loop that runs above the downtown area).

FROM THE NORTH:
By car -  Take Route 41 (becomes Edens Expressway) south to East Dempster Street exit.  Then take Dempster to Chicago Avenue in Evanston (the light after passing under two sets of train tracks), where you turn left.  Then take Chicago Avenue north three blocks to Grove and turn left again.  The World Headquarters is just a block west.  To get to the public garage, see the directions on the other side.

FROM CHICAGO'S LOOP (DOWNTOWN):
By taxi - Fare is a minimum of $20, plus tip, and takes 40 minutes, longer during rush hour.
By bus -  The#147 Howard station bus stops along State Street.  Transfer at Howard to the #201 bus north to Grove Street in Evanston.  The bus stops at the corner of Sherman and Grove.  You must have the exact change of $1.80, which includes the cost of a transfer, which you must ask for when boarding the #147.  Buses run about every 15 minutes.
By subway - Use any entrance on State Street for the red line.  Board a train bound for Howard.  At Howard Street, cross the platform, and board a purple line train marked “Bound for Linden Avenue in Wilmette” and take it to the Davis Street station in Evanston (4th stop). The World Headquarters is one block east and half block south of the station.  The fare is $1.50.
By Metra train - Metra's north line (Union Pacific right-of-way, formerly Chicago Northwestern Railroad) stops at Davis Street in Evanston.  The main train station in Chicago is at Madison and Canal Streets, just west of the Loop.  The World Headquarters in Evanston is two blocks east of the Davis station and a half block south. One-way fare is $2.55.
By car -  Take Lake Shore Drive north until it ends at Sheridan Road.  Turn right and follow Sheridan north, which winds a bit in Evanston, to Lake Street (technically Lake & Forest).  Turn left on Lake, which divides into two streets - Grove veers to the right.
